Adopt a Poodle (Toy) (long coat)

Poodle (Toy) (long coat) Dog

Mimi the Dog needs a home

There will be a phone interview and a screening process. As I will want to make sure that you are the right person for the particular pup, you will also want to make sure I am the rescue you want to do business with. My references are the Better Business Bureau, Lodi Animal Shelter, Pals in Lodi Ca, Pacific Veterinary Hospital in Stockton Ca, Vineyard Vet in Lockeford Ca. You can also read about my accomplishments in the notes on my Pups Rescue Facebook page

Mimi is about 5 years old in August of 2016 and weighs about 13 pounds. Her hair is grown out now, so she looks different then this picture. She has had her teeth cleaned in January 2016. She ended up at a shelter with her 1 week old pups in July of 2013. Other rescues were turning her down because of several reasons. One is that she was abused big time and she is literally afraid of her own shadow and the other is because she has Luxating Patella. She runs and plays and it does not need to be fixed. She is not in any pain.  In the past 3 years of her being here with me, she has fallen in love with me, so I know she could fall in love with someone else. She is extremely protective of me and will bite an intruder to protect me. She is an extremely scared dog and will not walk of a leash. She needs the most perfect home, with no kids. Someone who will win her trust and give her time to settle in. Someone who will spend the majority of their days with her. She will sleep with you in your bed and on your pillow. And now she is totally potty trained using a doggy door. She will totally back down with a more dominant dog. She plays and gets along with a lot of other dogs of all sizes. One of our requirements is that whoever is interested in adopting must be a stay at home person, also you must have another little dog, as she will miss the ones here and it will be too devastating for her to leave here. If you think you can be the home and new mommy or daddy to her, call Marilyn at 209-956-3004.

YOU MUST CALL FIRST, SENDING AN EMAIL FIRST WILL DELAY THE ADOPTION PROCESS. You must be at least 25 years old to adopt a puppy from this organization. I do not adopt puppies out to families with toddlers, and that could be the reason I will not return your call. Another one of our requirements is that whoever is interested in adopting the pup, will also be the one who stays at home with the pup and the one calling. I do not ship puppies anywhere, if you want to adopt from us, you must come to pick up the pup. Pups Rescue's adoption fees range from $200-$300.  Please leave a message, as all calls are screened. This is a residence, please do not call after 9:00 P.M. We will not ship puppies, you must come to our location
